Some Words from Master Changs Pupils
SANGROK World Taekwondo Academy Family

Master Henrik S. Hunstad

The SANGROK gym has become like a second home for me. I'm very privileged to have experienced the training and the spirit of SANGROK. The way Master Chang has taught me, has given me an opportunity to learn high quality Taekwondo. SANGROK represent not only taekwondo to me, but also the best part of Korean culture. I feel honored to call Master Chang my master and friend. Anyone that wants to experience Korean culture at it's best and wishes to train the best Taekwondo, should visit the SANGROK World Taekwondo Academy. The way of Master Chang's taekwondo teaching is a blend of traditional taekwondo and Olympic taekwondo. If you are a beginner, an instructor, competitioner etc, SANGROK gym and Master Chang has something to teach everyone.

Sincerely,

Master Henrik S. Hunstad,
International Master Instructor, 5th dan
Director of SANGROK Norway.

 Last training in Sangrok gym.

Dear Sangrok family,

this evening I will have my last training here in the Sangrok academy in Seoul.

I arrived here in October and after two month training I'll be heading back home in Italy.

It's my second time here, first time was three years ago during summer and I wanted to avoid the incredible heat and humidity (and enjoy my mountains in Italy). Well Korea is made of extremes, summer very hot and winter really cold(it also does make training really difficult at times). Autumn (and I guess spring) are the seasons to go, just ignore the mosquitoes ;-)

Training here has been(and is, one last training to go!) an unique experience. One simple reason is that staying as a student in Sangrok gym you get the rare chance to practice Taekwondo full time, a thing that allows you to focus in depth on things/parts of it that in a normal two/three times per week training you would only skim. Having all this time the approach is different, working from simple things to more complex without rush adding a little more complexity while continuously practising/repeating.

I'm happy I had the opportunity to spend such a long time here, and thanks to the hospitality of Master Chang and his friends I felt not too much as a stranger (in all honesty Korea can be alienating at times!).

Happy Christmas and New Year's Eve!

Ciao

Ruggero

Wish you all happy New Year, very best for year 2009! [1]
