Words from Master Changs Pupils
SANGROK World Taekwondo Academy Family
Henrik S. Hunstad
The SANGROK gym has become like a second home for me.
I'm very privileged to have experienced the training and the spirit
of SANGROK. The way Master Chang has taught me, has given me an opportunity
to learn high quality Taekwondo. SANGROK represent not only taekwondo
to me, but also the best part of Korean culture. I feel honored to call
Master Chang my master and friend. Anyone that wants to experience Korean
culture at it's best and wishes to train the best Taekwondo, should
visit the SANGROK World Taekwondo Academy. The way of Master Chang's
taekwondo teaching is a blend of traditional taekwondo and Olympic taekwondo.
If you are a beginner, an instructor, competitioner etc, SANGROK gym
and Master Chang has something to teach everyone.
Master Henrik S. Hunstad,
International Master Instructor, 6th Dan
Director of SANGROK Norway.

Some more news about my website.
I have been sorting through all letters posted on my website trying to delete all the junk mail that is there, but there are thousands of them. I have had to delete the entire messages from the Q & A board and the Sangrok family board to get rid of all the junk mail. I will return all messages back on the board, but I can't put them in the correct time slot, so they will all be returned as new mail. I will write the date they were originally posted on each message.

-Sangrok way in Korean martial art website
To Sangrok family:
Mooto, a famous martial artist equipment manufacturer in Korea, has posted an article which written by Harry and Avner on their English version website. The article is based on Sangrok gym and Sangrok way; whenever you have time, you may go to www.mooto.com and check it out, also you can write some of your opinion or previous experience with Sangrok gym in their opinion section, so more Taekwondo participants in the world can understand more about Sangrok Gym.

-Sangrok UK's Latest Events
We are all training hard here in the English rain. Five students will be doing there black belt gradings on November 28th when Master Chang is in England, I will also be doing my 3rd dan grading my brother Dan his second and Zach (8years old) his 1st poom. We are all very exited for the seminar and are training hard daily.
Last week nine of our students entered into the 'Oxford Open Championships'. Everyone fought brave battles against Kickboxers, Kung fu practitioners and many other styles. Although the rules were different to Taekwondo rules (punches to the face, sweeps, no body protectors ect) we achieved a gold and a silver medal, many of the matches eventhough our students lost in points, they certainly won in class. I look forward to seeing how they will fair in future taekwondo competitions.
My brother Dan has desighned a new Sangrok logo as you can see in the photo gallery. T-shirts and other merchandise is being arranged now. The logo features a forest of Evergreen trees 'Sangroks' and a rising sun, it symbolises the Sangrok unity and embraces it's philosophy. More news soon.
I am visiting Master Hendrik in Norway for the Master Chang seminar on the 19th nov I will be going with my girlfriend and maybe some students, it will be my second time in Norway and because of it's beautiful people and great Taekwondo i am sure it wont be my last. Good times ahead.
Power and peace to all of you.

-My Stay at Sang Rok
I went to Sang Rok on my Gap year and stayed for four months. It was an experience i'll never forget Master Chang's teaching is unique, and i achieved more under his carefull instruction than i could ever have achieved in England.
I learned much from Sang Rok, not only in tae Kwon Do, but also Korean Culture the Tae Kwon Do way of life, and the wisdom and understanding of Master chang himself.
I had a fantastic time and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone

-Self Defense in Modern TKD
Ho shin sool, or self defense is an integral part of Modern Taekwondo. I would suggest that you look at the Kukkiwon textbook and there is an entire section on self defense techniques.
In my view, Avner's perception is the real issue. Poomse, Kyrogi are the center points for many dojang. However, I would suggest that this is not a full balance of the Modern Training methods.
By the way, is there such a thing as the Sangrok style? Or is it that Master Chang, teaches us the WTF taekwondo curriculum in his own way?
Let's get some discussion going!
